Protecting the Local Portion of State-Shared Revenues

"Chicago-area municipalities have done the responsible thing during these tough economic times by downsizing our budgets and living within our means. Suggesting that we absorb a $300 million reduction in State-shared revenues may help bail the State
out of its budget woes, but it merely passes the State’s financial problems down to us."
-Members of the Executive Board
