The Northwest Municipal Conference is a premier regional council of local governments formed in 1958. It is a membership-supported association of 45 municipalities and 5 townships located in Cook, DuPage, Lake, Kane and McHenry counties of Illinois. The Conference serves a population of over 1.3 million residents. The Northwest Municipal Conference facilitates and promotes intergovernmental cooperation, cultivates the exchange of information vital to the operation of local governments and serves as a means for the joint study and solution of common problems.
